PS2 is outdated old tech it's crazy to say it's the best console in 2019. If I was off grid PS2 and my modded classic minis would be played alot more. Nobody bro if you're on a budget or a doomsday prepper I'd recommend a PS2 games aren't as cheap as they were 5 years ago but still cheap.

Nobody walks in my room and sees my switch,Xbox library,modded og Xbox, PS4 pro and vr library and says I'm going to play PS2 lol. There's nothing on ps2 I'd play over current gen it just enhances my gaming library is all. You feel about PS2 how I feel about turtles in time that game never gets old. I'll be playing bf1 until the servers go under or something better comes along. I'm talking about the controls,save points, things like that that make some of those games a pita in 2019. Graphics are actually pretty good with upscaling and such on modern tvs.

Will I still be playing PS3 or 4? Probably not nearly as much. I’ll still be playing PS2 in another 20 years when it’s nearly 40 years old. I’m not trying to say you’re inherently wrong I’m just stating why I like the PS2 the best. Not to mention PS2 is also a PS1 in terms of games and accessories. I constantly find new great PS2 games to try out, I’m currently playing Dragon Quest 8. I love my Switch it’s probably my second or third favorite console but considering I play the PS2 on a regular basis and it’s 19 years old speaks to its quality and dependability. 6th gen also had the Xbox and GameCube which were home to the likes of Halo 1 and 2, Smash Bros Melee, and Mario Sunshine.Ħth Gen was where 3D gaming truly became playable, yeah the controls for some early PS2 games were clunky but many still play fantastically. Many modern day games stemmed from the PS2 like God of War, and Killzone. You have loads of quality PS2 games including a multitude of GTA games, Final Fantasy Games, and a plethora of exclusives. Graphically speaking yes, but in terms of quality games I think 6th generation is the best.

I'm really hoping the next gen of consoles will bring some of the series back, as gran turismo 7 should be on ps5, and test drive unlimited 3 is supposedly being worked on.Ħth gen just had so many awesome (and plenty of okay and straight up bad) racers, but there is just such a wide variety, it isn't hard to find something that you'll enjoy. Need for speed is pretty much dead, and test drive unlimited isn't coming anytime soon. Only the high budget games really were able to be polished to the point where they stood the test of time.Ĩth gen seems to have basically a small handful of good racers, with forza being pretty good, but gran turismo fell by the wayside. All the other 3d generations had a few good racing games, and 7th gen gets an honerable mention, as it had a great selection of big names, like need for speed, test drive unlimited, forza, gran turismo, project Gotham racing, etc.ĥth gen just wasnt there with technology, and not very many of those games hold up.
